Dive Works are there when you need us most

Dive Works provide leading Emergency Response Services to the offshore industry in the Bass Strait.

Our offshore subsea clients and partners can rely on our support. Utilising state of the art ROV technology, experienced commercial divers or a combination of both, Dive Works can mobilise quickly and efficiently for all emergency response situations 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

The Services That Dive Works Provide

Dive Works search and recovery operations start with a survey to locate the target(s). Dive Works then create a plan for the recovery. The search is performed by ROV using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) tracking and video recording. Sonar can also be used to locate targets up to 200 metres in distance. Smaller objects are generally recovered immediately using hand equipment, with the ROV equipped with a ‘grabber arm’ to assist the process. In the case of larger objects Dive Works will work together with external parties to ensure the target(s) safe recovery.

Furthermore, the entire search is recorded to help investigators. An important benefit of using ROVs is that they can sustain cold waters for a long period of time and can operate in any visibility, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Dive Works has the experience and expertise to provide diving services in contaminated water. Emergency response, Inspection, maintenance and repair works can be carried out in Tailing Ponds*, Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP), and contaminated or polluted waters.

Using the latest equipment, including specially designed chemical suits and Kirby Morgan dive helmets, Dive Works adheres to strict OHS standards and the AS/NZS Standards 2299.1 for contaminated waters.

Dive Works is capable of all salvage and recovery work of vessels, equipment and objects both large and small throughout Australia directly, and also as arranged through our associated affiliates.

Dive Works offers a prompt and economical service throughout the recovery phase using proven salvage and recovery techniques. We have the skills and capabilities to accomplish most salvage and recovery operations in Australian waters.

RISK MANAGEMENT - Oil Pollution Emergency Plan

NOPSEMA have highlighted the need for Operators to be better prepared in the event of an emergency. The specific requirements of an Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) must include arrangements for responding to and monitoring oil pollution.  Operators are urged to have existing third party response service arrangements in place. Dive Works can assist Operators to meet key regulatory requirements by providing an innovative and cost effective ‘Emergency Response’ and ‘Monitoring’ services.
